Self Check-in System
To avoid queuing at Reception please use our self check-in screen
Parents or carers may attend the medical centre to weigh their babies. No health visitor will be in attendance but is contactable via Reception for any queries. This service is available on Tuesdays and Fridays between 2.00pm and 4.00pm in the Health Visitors room.
Routine developmental screening is carried out by the Doctor. You will be sent an appointment for this at around aged 7 weeks. It is important that the child attends this appointment as this will allow assessment of the child's growth and readiness for first immunisations which will be carried out a short while after this appointment.
From September 2017 children registered with the Practice will be invited to attend a community clinic at Drumhar Health Centre for all childhood immunisations including pre school boosters. This clinic will be run by a dedicated Immunisation team. When your child is due for immunisation you will be sent a letter asking you to attend Drumhar Health Centre at Drumhar Court, Perth.
If upon receipt of an appointment you require to change your appointment you must contact NHS Tayside Child Health Department on 01307 475267/475282. Staff will note your cancellation and an alternative appointment will be sent to you in around 2-6 weeks. Do not contact the GP Practice to cancel appointments.
Offered by our Doctors and Nurses during normal surgeries. Checks and emergency contraception are also undertaken by our Practice Nurse. In addition we offer a coil fitting and checking service as well as Implanon insertion and removal. Please ask your GP for further information.
We carry out a range of minor surgery procedures including the removal of lumps, cysts, and ingrown toenails. We also offer joint injections. Please ask at Reception to find out which GP's provide this service.
If you have a positive pregnancy test and have no other medical concerns, it is not necessary to make an appointment with your GP. You need to come to the surgery to pick up a pregnancy information pack and make an initial appointment at 8-10 weeks to see the midwife at PRI midwife unit. Antenatal clinics are run at PRI Maternity unit by the Community Midwife on Wednesdays from 2pm onwards by appointment. Maternity Reception telephone number: 01738 473425.
A comprehensive assessment of any immunisations or medications required for foreign travel. For further details, please see the Travel Vaccinations page.
Requests for advice on travel immunisations must be made to the Practice at least 6 weeks before your intended journey. Forms are available for this purpose. A fee may be payable for some vaccinations - details are available from Reception. Some travel immunisations are unavailable at the Practice and you will be directed to a specialist travel clinic for the administration of such.
If you have angina or had a heart attack or have high blood pressure, heart failure, atrial fibrillation, peripheral vascular disease or chronic kidney disease you should have an annual check at this clinic with one of the Practice Nurses. You will be sent an annual invitation for his clinic.

All test results will be reviewed by the requesting GP or Practice Nurse. You will be contacted if necessary, but not routinely if the results are normal.
Should you wish to confirm the results, you may contact Reception after 2.00pm. This should be at least one week after the test.
Insurance, Employment & HGV Medicals
Our Doctors are happy to carry our insurance, employment and HGV medicals – by special arrangement. There is a charge for these services.
Please note we do not undertake any diving medicals.
The following services are not covered by the NHS and are therefore chargeable. Our rates are as detailed below.
Should you have any other specific requirements please do not hesitate to ask us for a quote.
If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you will need to complete our travel form. This can be done on-line by clicking the link below, or you can come to the surgery and collect a hard copy. Details needed will include which countries and areas within these countries which you are visiting, to determine what vaccinations are required.
When you submit your completed form you will be given an appointment with the Practice Nurse two weeks later. Should you not require any immunisations you will be advised accordingly.
This should be done at least 6 weeks before the intended travel date to allow time for administration and for adequate immunity to develop. Routine vaccines are free of charge but some require a private prescription which will incur a fee. This is because travel vaccination is not included in the services provided by the NHS and therefore can be a chargeable service.
There is further information about countries and vaccinations required on the links below
